Flexible food packaging: format and printed details

Built around your product

Start with the purpose.
Then shape the pack.

Food packaging starts with the contents and the filling process. Discuss product type, storage, barrier needs and destination-market requirements before deciding on pouch shape, material structure and print.

Format, materials and finishing are defined in your project specification.

Consider the details

What makes the format work.

Begin with the contents

Dry snacks, powders and other foods have different moisture, oxygen and handling needs.

Plan the use experience

Review opening, resealing and portion size with the way your customer uses the product.

Design for shelf clarity

Give product information, graphics and mandatory labels a clear place in the artwork.

A clearer brief

Make your next conversation useful.

Bring the product requirements, not just a picture of a box. The following details help us discuss feasibility and prepare a meaningful quotation.

Minimum quantities, sample fees, testing and lead times vary by specification. No fixed commitment is made until the project is reviewed and agreed in writing.

Include in your enquiry

  1. What food will be packed, and what is the fill weight?
  2. What temperature and filling method will be used?
  3. What shelf life and storage conditions are intended?
  4. Which market will sell the product, and what evidence is required?

Product questions

Before you specify.

Can we choose a material by appearance alone?

No. Barrier, sealing, food-contact suitability and filling conditions are important. A kraft-look surface does not describe the complete material structure.

Can you guarantee a shelf life?

A shelf-life target must be validated with the actual contents and storage conditions. Packaging selection is only one part of that validation.

Can artwork include a clear window?

A window can be discussed where it suits the selected structure, light protection needs and design. Confirm placement and performance before production.
